Performance Documentation
SCORCHED, Cynthia Schwerstik and Liz Butler.
SCORCHED is a drawing experiment with outdated paper for old technology. The paper is reactive to heat and lends itself to a different approach to the medium of drawing. When Cynthia was gifted a box of paper rolls for the faxmachine, she turned to her colleagues Renate Nisi and Liz Butler, in 2018 they staged BEST AFTER at Praxis Artspace, and this performance falls in line with their shared interests of mark making. The audience is invited to be creative with us.
Elyas Alavi and Noriko Tadano
